My Happy Happy Year.....2011 in Photos!

Hello 2012, so long 2011! With 2012 literally in a few hours lovelies I can't help but to reflect on the past 12 months. 2011 has been an amazing year to say the least. A year of personal and spiritual growth for me indeed. The most significant event would have to be the fire in which I lost everything yet gained so much. God proved to me just how mighty he truly is. In one year I managed to lose everything and gain it all back times 3! I am in awww of his power and look forward to spending the New Year getting to know him more. Just a few photos that pretty much sum up this amazing year.
Getting closer to family and loving them more and  more each day :-)
Spending my birthday in Hawaii with some of my favorite people.....LOVE these folks!
(The time stamp on these photos are clearly wrong! LOL)
The new LOVE of my life....The Dutchess (back when she was small and cute, Now she's a BEAST) LOL

Lots and lots of fun with my friends and family....drunk and sober!! :-D
Mardi Gras is pretty freakin cool!
Blog outtakes, goofy me :-)
Giving thanks with my family away from family :-)

My apartment, post fire.....Out with the Old in with the New New!!

Random photo I took at a Farmers Market in NYC, reminded me that tomorrow is always a brighter day....it always makes me smile when I see it.

Have a Happy and Safe New Year's luvs and be ready to turn it out in 2012!!

The BLUE Trench

Hey dolls, so I am officially a BAD BAD Blogger! Been forever since my last outfit of the day post and all I have to say is I've been busy 'schoolin life'! LOL, but I miss ya'll!! Check out this cobalt blue trench I have been hoarding in my closet for years now! I scored this coat 3 years ago at NY&Co. I loved it but was too big for me at the time, I was literally swimming in it when I bought it. The sleeves are still a tad bit long but fits like a glove thanks to a few extra pounds. Love, Love, Love this color coming in a close second behind my all time fav, PINK! I decided to let the coat take center stage and keep the rest of this outfit simple and chic. Hope you all had an amazing Christmas, I know I did!!
The FIT:
Trench: NY&CO (about 3 years ago)
Top: Zara
Leggings: American Apparel
Booties: Alexander Wang
Shades: RetroCity Sunglasses
Watch: Fossil
Earrings: c/o All Thingz FAB boutique

Best Looks of 2011 According to Yours Truly!

Hey dolls I don't know about you but 2011 has absolutely flown by for me. It has been a very eventful year both personally and fashionably. Today's post will focus on the latter.....check out my picks for top fashionistas of 2011. As far as 2012 goes, its going to be my BEST yet, just you wait!! Among other areas of my life, my wardrobe will be bananas I guarantee it!! These DIVAs (in no particular order) sent me into a fashion frenzy when I seen them and made it to the top of the list.
1. Beyonce announcing her pregnancy in this gorgeous orange Lanvin gown was pure poetry in my opinion. She controlled every aspect of this announcement and we all had NO idea. Proof that it is possible for celebrities to maintain some privacy if they truly wanted to. This dress ensured all eyes were on Mrs. Carter for her and baby B's big debut. Werq chick!
2. The 'new transformer chick' as I call her made her mark on the fashion scene this year with flawless appearances to the latest in the Transformer chronicals. Not only did she do her thug thizzle in the movie with an all white everything wardrobe....she also worked it on the red carpet!! This look did EVERYTHING for me!! Yeeeeeesss.
3. Kerry Washington is a beauty and rarely looks bad on the red carpet in my opinion. I particularly took notice to her sexy, subtle, electric look at the 2011 BET awards. While this entire red carpet was a HUGE disappointment to me with the usual hoochie momma dresses and fashion fiascos by Ms. Nikki MiNaj, Kerry Washington truly stood out amongst the crowd in this gorgeous Michael Kors gown.

4. Now I ain't gone lie, my girl J.Lo changes up her style like she changes her men.....OFTEN! Despite striking out on her marriage this year she damn sure hit a homerun in this sparkly Emilio Pucci number. Yes it was very, sexy, a bit matchy matchy, slightly gaudy and waaaay OVER the top but..... I'm sorry this chick is BAD!! After seeing her walk the red carpet in this I signed up for boot camp class shortly after just to achieve legs like hers. #MOTIVATION is the reason she is on my list. My goal in life is to have legs like J.LO at the 2011 Grammy's. lol, I kid, I kid. This look I like to call "Over the top done right!"
5. Decadent, Regal and simply refined is how I would describe this look on Cate Blanchett. I know she got a lot of mixed reviews for this look but it was one of my FAVS for the night and for the year. To all you haters out there Ms. Blanchett shut it down in this Givenchy Haute Couture gown during this years Oscars! Period.com. End. of. Story!
6. Gwyneth Paltrow in this Calvin Klein gave me LIIIIIIIIFFFFEEE!!! That is all.

I'm curious to know what were your FAVS this year dolls! Sound off!!
