Happy Halloween!!

Hey loves, hope all is well with you all. Especially those on the east coast, I pray your all made it through hurricane Sandy safe and sound. I'm here in Maryland and got mostly rain and debris. My prayers goes out to those in NYC and Jersey. My fam in jersey are all safe and sound and I hope those that lost a lot are able to rebuild quickly.
I'm not big on costumes perhaps one day I will be but dressing up as a slutty character or fantasy just doesn't do it for me. Now I'm all for passing out candy for the kiddies but I'm more likely to do it in an outfit more like this one. With Halloween tomorrow I thought this look was so holiday appropriate. I decided to pull off this bright orange and black look paired with a sexy pair of tights I've been dying to wear for months now. Sad part is as soon as I took these photos and pulled them off I poked a hole in them and got a major run. FML!

Airport Swag: Sweatpants Trend

Today is a travel day loves so I thought I'd come to you today with a lil Airport Swag.  I am away in Seattle all week for business but wanted to make it a point to look cute on this trip.....for no specific reason. LOL, I have been seeing the sweatpants trend make its way into the fashionista circle so I decided to give it a go. I love how celebs have be adding a bit of chic and sex appeal to a once notoriously unsexy piece.  I must say this look was super comfy all while turning a few heads. One dude even shouted across the parking lot, damn you sexy! Not sure if it was the sweatpants or the red lip or perhaps his poor unbringing. Either way it was enough for me to prove the point that YES sweatpants can be swagg'd out and sexy. Try out the trend dolls and let me know how you like it.
Oh and in case you haven't heard.....I'm a semi-finalist in Diddy's Ciroc Military Ambassador Search. This is a contest I entered to use my previous military experience and marketing degree to work on an actual Ciroc marketing campaign. I would truly be honored if you would take a moment and VOTE for me HERE dolls!
THE FIT:
Sweatpants: Target and they also double as my workout pants hehehe
Button Down: Ann Taylor
Leather Jacket: BCBG
Scarf: GAP
Booties: Alexander Wang

When traveling I usually take the comfy road over the cute one but this look is super easy to pull off and works sooo well. I keep my sunnies big to hide the fact I probably won't wear much makeup and the bold lip looks good on EVERYONE and builds confidence. A cotton button-up blouse for comfort and class.....after all this is a business trip ;-) This bag is huge enough to fit my laptop and other essentials and it's just toooooo darn FAB and these A.Wangs are seriously super comfy and I can totally walk a few gates in these babies! Top off the look with a comfy scarf for those chilly planes and a side braid that will give you instant and effortless waves the moment you land.
Love you dolls and as always thank you so much for your continued support of my blog and taking the time out of your day to visit with me! Be sure to check me out on my other social media outlets......I gets around ;-)

First Lady Inspired Style

Hey stranger! I know thats what your saying after my lil hiatus. I have no excuses for being a bad, bad blogger. I have not been feeling my normal fabulous self so I have not felt like taking pictures AT ALL! But no worries dolls I am back with a First Lady inspired look today. I came across this look and loved it! I think this look is perfect for the transitioning fall weather. With colors this bright I opted out of many accessories and paired this look with a pair of nude pumps. Not to mention this orange sweater is perfect for the Halloween mood I'm in. I even went to a pumpkin patch this weekend and sipped on Apple Cider. Good times for sure!
First Lady serving lunch to school kids....LOVE HER!
