Let's Recap

Hey loves, I hope you all have been well and fabulous. I'm coming to you today with a quick recap post. I haven't had a chance to take outfit pics this week unfortunately. After the holidays I had a family emergency that takes priority. My granny has been extremely sick and in the hospital. I have been back and forth to New Jersey spending time with her. She is doing much better than she was but she still has a long road of rehab and treatments ahead. I, like a lot of kiddos out there, was raised by my granny for a good part of my life. I am a total granny's girl and freak out when she gets so much as a paper cut so I have been praying extra, extra hard. She is a fighter and incredibly amazing woman so I know she will pull through in no time. Please enjoy some of my favorite looks from the past few months and feel free to stay a while a browse some of my past looks dolls.
Also, I'm super excited to be featured on the lovely Meagan of TFDiaries for her 5 Ways to Wear Sparkle, Blogger Edition! Check me out HERE dolls and be sure to follow her fab blog!

Thankful

Hey dolls, Happy Monday hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday with the fam. I had a great time and to think, I almost didn't go home. Every single year I'm reminded how thankful and blessed I truly am. Thanksgiving is over but I am thankful each and every day. Here are just a few things I am currently thankful for.
1. Family, the good, the bad, the ugly......I LOVE them.
2. My Health, it is a privilege not to be taken advantage of for sure.
3. The Dutchess, she is the sweetest pup on the planet...hands down!
4. Online Shopping, my patience for crowds and malls have grown thin with age.
5. Spanx, they are my lifeline, without them I am nothing LOL
6. Friends, not many of us have them, I do and I cherish them.
7. Blogging, its my new drug.....I'm addicted.
8. Having a kind heart, I genuinely care about people and thankful that hasn't changed thru the mess.
9. My life, despite the ups and downs overall its pretty awesome.

Same sweater, different color, different day

Hey loves I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I'm still stuffed and snacking on leftovers. Back to business on Monday but for now, keep the calories coming. No your not seeing doubles, I have this same sweater in two different colors.  I love a good thing and I love a good thing twice even more. I snagged both of these sweaters from moms closet last year and I loved them both equally.  I decided to remix my usual winter weekend uniform with these funky Steve Madden loafers I picked up a while back. I debated on returning them but something inside just wouldn't let that happen. At first I hated them, thought they were ugly and dated and reminded me of old lady curtains.....I even asked my dolls on Instagram if I should keep or ditch them. *KEEP was the verdict* For now I love them and can totally see me pairing it with more yummy things in my wardrobe to come.
The FIT:
Sweater: Thrifted, obsessed with this ONE, I need abs to wear this one HERE
Black Jeans: GAP, similar HERE
Shoes: Steve Madden; similar HERE
Bag: Dillard's last year
Shades: RetroCity Sunglasses
Watch: Michael Kors

Be sure to follow me other places loves.....I gets around ;-)

My Glitter Glam Weekend!

Hey loves, hope you had a fabulous weekend! I had a great weekend as I had the pleasure of being a guest model blogger for DewDropDCs Glitter Glam Swap & Shop event on Saturday. I seriously had the best time modeling pieces people bought in to swap and from the local vendors who had some GREAT pieces!! The event was complete with Red Bull, cupcakes and gorgeous pieces from local stores and designers. I got to style my own look for Glitter Glam event, I went overload with the glitz and the glam! I found a gorgeous sequined cocktail dress, beautiful vintage clutch and glitter glam neck candy from Rossi Modo boutique. I loved this look so much I went home with this cocktail number, I know I will be recycling it many times this holiday season.
The lovely Meagan from District Sparkle being my mirror and applying my lipliner before our catwalk! She is totally awesome and had such a great time with her and Waverly of Pich & Roor!! Can't wait to meet up with these ladies again in the near future!!
Swap shoppers going thru the goodies!
So great meeting Rossi Modo Boutique owner at the event, she was super nice and her makeup was beautiful!! Check out her gorgeous pieces HERE dolls
Yummy treats were also available for swappers, just look at that gorgeous cake!
Thank you so much to the lovely Kristine Thomas, DewDropDC founder, for throwing such a lovely event and congrats on your one-year anniversary. This was my first swap and see plenty more in my future.

Jumping for Juicy!

Wednesday night, I attended the November CapFABB meetup last night at Juicy Couture with the latest addition to my Diamond Doll team, Asante. The event was held at the newly revamped georgetown location and let me jsut say WOW!! This place is beautiful complete with hardwood floors, bright colors, luxe accents and FAB mannequins. The staff was impeccable and super friendly. Store manager, Scott was even nice enough to take us on a private ride of the elevator because of my uber high heels, what a nice guy! The event was topped off with tasty finger foods from Spilled Milk Catering, champaign, cupcakes and great company.  I couldn't be more impressed by the revamping of this brand, Juicy has surely come a long way from track suits and charm bracelets. Although, still a staple, you will find something for the sophisticated socialite, fashionista queen, color-obsessed diva and more! Head there when you get a chance, I have surely added a few pieces to my Christmas Wish List.
I could live in this sweater this winter....no really I could, it looks THAT comfy!
I call this cape "The Cherry on Top" of any outfit.
The lovely Jane Anne of the Juicy crew! I thought her look was totally cool and chic.
She rocked this look for sure!
I soooo loved these boots but my calves would never allow this to happen :-(
Yummy treats from Spilled Milk catering! They showered us with everything from truffle sandwiches, beef sliders and red velvet cupcakes. Everything was seriously soooo delicious!
Introducing Asante a new Diamond Doll and first NajaDiamond.com intern. She will be helping me out around here and getting a taste of the fashion industry while doing so. This was her first event and she handled herself like a pro. I'm super excited to have her aboard and know she will do a great job and I look forward to being her mentor.
Asante doing her thing and working the room, isn't she adorable!!
The FIT: Top/Pants: J.Crew; Blazer: GAP; Shoes: Baker; Watch: Fossil
Good times with my blogger babe Jen of Comme Coco and Asante!
I'll take a pair of these uber cute headphones for Christmas to use while training for my first half-marathon please and thank you!
It was so great meeting Kelly and Maritza, interns with Pulchritude Boutique, they were soooo sweet!
I'll take one of these in every color please! Gorge.
