How To Upgrade Your Makeup Bag for Fall

From Summertime glow to Vampy and Fierce in just swipe of a lippie.
The drugstore has tons of new products this season and I took full advantage. Some of my favs include this gorgeous purple and gold 15 piece makeup brush set from Sonia Kashuk I literally had to HUNT down. They are currently sold out but similar set HERE.

Swatch of L'Oreal Plum Adagio.

Fall has arrived dolls. Is your makeup bag ready?! Fall means updates are to be made to not only your wardrobe but to your makeup bag. Time to pull out those purples, and burgundy colors that are oh so deep and rich. Something about a deep, dark color that makes you feel so sexy. Pink lips make me feel sweet and nude lips, sophisticated but there is just something about a deep dark lip. I have a TON of deep dark Fall colors that will be in heavy rotation this season. All products above have been what I'm reaching for the most. Here are some simple swaps I make when fall rolls around to upgrade my makeup bag for Fall.

Swap out your pink, bright summer shades for those vampy colors you've been itching to wear.I love the matte finish of the Wet n' Wild Black Cherry or Sugar Plum Fairy. A new product I'm loving is also the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Plum Adagio (swatch above). Not only do I love the packaging of this product but I love the pigmentation and glossy finish.

Don't forget those lids loves and these dark eye shadows are perfect for that fall smokey look. Adding this Maybelline 24 hour tattoo in Pomegranate Punk or L'Oreal Infallible pressed pigment in Smoldering Plum. For a pretty pop of color try the L'Oreal Extra-Intense liquid pencil eyeliner in purple.

What are some of your Fall Favs dolls?

How I dropped weight just in time for Fashion Week + GIVEAWAY!!

When I decided to attend New York Fashion Week this year I knew I wanted to drop a bit of weight first. It has been a STRUGGLE to say the least to lose weight but Fashion Week was the perfect reason to get focused. Clothes weren't fitting like they needed to and it has been affecting my confidence big time. Confidence is a mandatory accessory when you hit that concrete jungle so I had to focus.

To drop some pounds and reach my goals in a hurry I reached out to personal trainer and owner of Iconic Fitness, Star Legend for help. I reached out to Starr because of his passion for getting people healthy and happy with their bodies and because quite frankly I've failed at everything else and I knew he wouldn't judge me if I slipped up once or twice.

We decided together on a plan that would work with my work schedule, the distance and his busy training schedule. Since he is in Jersey and I am in Maryland we decided on virtual training sessions twice a week at 6am. Now let me explain this lovely thing called virtual training I completely fell in love with. Not only was it super convenient, but it was extremely effective. I was bored with watching workout videos on DVD, OnDemand or YouTube and found myself slacking off and not seeing results.  With Star right there on the screen pushing me through the pain and adjusting the moves to meet my needs I was much more engaged and seen the results I needed.

In less than 30 days I dropped about 8 pounds and felt fabulous for NYFW. I still have a long way to go before I am at my goal but I certainly felt amazing during Fashion Week and now even more motivated to keep going! Thanks Star!
Trying on dresses was much less mortifying then it usually is, this pic taken last weekend trying on Altazurra for Target dress, this is a size 8.....holla holla!
These white pants from Zara were purchased over a year ago while in Florida and couldn't even button them until now.
In upcoming fitness posts I'm going to take you inside our sessions and show you the exercises we did as well as share my nutrition and meal plan. If you have ever considered virtual training in the past I would highly, highly recommend it! Find out more HERE!

Denim on Denim and Mirrored Chunky Heels

The FIT:
Denim Shirt, Necklace, Sunglasses J.Crew | Shorts GAP | Heels Coach via Saks Off Fifth | Bag Zara

Sometimes the most casual and simple pieces can come together beautifuly. This look I wore for Brunch and a day of hanging out with friends on Saturday. It was hot so I didn't want too much fuss and breathable pieces, denim on denim is always easy enough. I knew I would be doing a bit of walking so I wanted comfortable yet stylish shoes and to be honest I just wanted to wear my new mirrored heels by Coach. I picked these shoes up while browsing for comfortable-esqe heels for Fashion Week. I low-key love the short chunky heel even though I'm more of a stiletto girl. Basic pieces paired with punchy accessories to play up your style and personality are certainly key to an effortless chic look.

Black & White Glam at the GLAMbitious Book Tour Event

This lace top from the Altuzarra for Target collection thou....LOVE!
I swear my outfit was cute ya'll....these pictures do it no justice at all *sad face*
The FIT:
Lace Camisole: Altuzarra for Target | Skirt: J.Crew | Vest: Forever21 | Booties: JustFab (sold out) | Necklace: Bauble Bar | Lippie: Sephora Luster Matte lipcolor in Mulberry

Hey dolls, Happy Monday!

This weekend I had the pleasure of hanging out with one of my oldest military friends Shaun of www.StyleisShe.com. She is currently on the GLAMbitious Book Launch and Women Empowerment Tour with author and Atlanta publicist Lillie Mae. While I was there to see and support my friend I really had a lovely time hearing from all the ladies. The night was filled with great discussions on entrepreneurship and encouraging advice on balancing it all.

I also took full advantage to Glam it up a bit with my new lace top from the Altuzarra for Target top and white 'suit'. This top was apart of the nightie set complete with little satin shorts and the lace eye mask which is what I wanted the most! This top is the ultimate Day to Night piece. I paired it with my new white skirt from J.Crew that happened to match my white vest from Forever 21. It looked like they belonged together and clearly they were meant to be together. The star of this look, in my opinion, has to be my new Dylanex inspired necklace from BaubleBar.com. I have been obsessed with these necklaces since The ManRepeller made them look so darn good.

Sweatshirt Glam feat. YOURS Clothing

The FIT:
Sweatshirt Yours Clothing | Skirt Zara | Booties JustFab

Sweatshirt weather is officially here dolls! Not cold enough for a coat but brisk enough for more than a Tshirt. I love this sweatshirt from Yours Clothing with sheer sleeves and a jeweled collar. For starters it's in one of my favorite colors for fall, Grey. Then although its casual enough to wear with jeans its also glam enough to take it up a notch for a more dressed up look. In this look I chose the latter and paired it with a bold red lip, skater skirt and new booties from JustFab.

Yours Clothing is a plus size clothing company based in the UK with tons of great things for my curvy ladies. They were kind enough to send me a few pieces to dress my lovely lady lumps that I will be sharing with you soon. Be sure to check out their site for beautiful on trend pieces.
