Casual, Cool, Sightseeing OOTD

Hello loves, hope your week is going well. Today I wanted to share with you a casual laid back look I wore out sightseeing with family a few weekends ago. I love it when family comes into town, I always get to do fun stuff I wouldn't usually do by myself. We explored the National Mall checking out some Smithsonian museums we browsed the Air & Space Museum, Natural History museum and the Washington Momument. The second day we ventured out to the White House,  Martin Luther King memorial, which was one of my favs along with the World War II memorial. It was a lovely weekend and so much fun. This city has so much to do and so much to see, I will surely be getting out more to explore all the DMV has to offer.

Summer Wedding Style

Hey dolls, Happy Friday! Today I'm coming to you with what I wore to a summer wedding last week. My good friend Aisya married her longtime girlfriend Wendy in a beautiful ceremony. I'm so happy I got to share their special day with them. I also helped out with her styling and pictures during the night so I knew I would be moving around a lot so I wanted to be comfortable with not much fuss.
I wore this little 'pink' dress from Lauren Conrad Collection I found on sale at Kohl's. It was flattering, comfortable, summertime appropriate, cool with the lace back and was super easy to pair with a bold necklace, flats and heels.
For my makeup I kept the look simple, pretty and glowy.
The FIT:
Dress: Lauren Conrad Collection via Kohl's
Necklace: Zara, similar HERE
Flats: LOFT, old, similar HERE
Watch: Fossil

Hope you dolls have a great weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday!!

Last Minute Summertime tips: Poolside Must-Haves

Dear Summer: Please don't leave me!!
Summer is disappearing right before our eyes dolls. In fact we have had a pretty mild summer compared to  last. While I'm not totally complaining I can't say that I'm read for Fall just yet. I don't know about you but I will be spending these last few weeks poolside as much as possible. I just love the sun and not mad at my tan so far so I wanted to share with you some of my poolside favs and hopefully it will help on any last minute vacays or trips to the pool this summer.
--Some other must haves for me are SUNBLOCK, I prefer 50+ or higher and Kiehl's Super Fluid for my Face.
--My NARS body illuminator is a MUST for that effortless glow and shimmer to my legs, it even sort of works as a BB cream for my legs and covers and slight imperfects. LOVE this stuff!
--These Total Refresh body cloths are perfect to stay cool and fresh and what I use to wipe the sweat away. --Then, I don't know about you but sometimes the chlorine in the pool can make me hella ashy, lol, that's when I reach for my Pacifica lotion wipes to add back the moisture the pool has stripped from me. These are in Island Vanilla and smell AH-MAZING and super easy to fit in my beach bag.
--Next, I LOVE a good book and #GIRLBOSS is inspiring, entertaining and perfect for afternoons at the pool. I'm about done with it so we shall see whats next on my reading list.
--Complete with anitbac, a bright and bold beach towel, plastic mason jar full of lemonade and big, obnoxious hat to block the rays and I'm good to go for an afternoon poolside!

::Day Pool Look #1::
Simple Shoe change takes this look from day to night!
Number Uno poolside must have is the cute coverup! I love this colorful tunic from Bar III because it also doubles as a dress if your transitioning from poolside to dinner rapidly.
::Day Pool Look #2::
Swimsuit: Forever 21
Shades: Joycle Leslie
Panama Hat: Target, men's department
::Night Pool Look #2::
Maxi Skirt turned into cover up: BCBG
Shades: Joyce Leslie,
Earrings: Beauty Supply Store
Necklace: ASOS
Shoes: Shoedazzle

Feel free to tie a belt around this look for a more defined waist and polished look. I was going for easy breezy and comfy so I did no such thing ;-)

Lounging Around in Perfects Australia

Hey dolls, Happy Monday! Hope you had a good weekend. I don't know about you but I personally need a day between Saturday and Sunday, the weekend is just never long enough! After a VERY long and draining last week I didn't do much this weekend besides lounge around, watch TV, nap, read and nap some more. I'm currently loving #GIRLBOSS and the 21 Day Financial Fast so they kept me busy. My summer has been non-stop and needed some time to simply decompress.
::What I'm Wearing::
Talk is Cheap Muscle Tee: Forever 21, found HERE
Lace Knee Highs: Target
Tie Dye Tunic Dress: Forever 21, love this one ALSO
 I did have a chance to try out the Perfects Australia Line from Kohl's. Perfects Australia is an Australian brand carried by Kohl's made for plus sized woman. While dressing my curves I found myself needing new undergarments but didn't want to spend big bucks cause I know this size is temporary. Perfects Australia offers beautiful, comfortable pieces at great prices. I love the size range and variety. I chose some basic pieces like the black and white Michelle style (worn in these pics) that is super comfortable with wider straps and thicker bra strap and pretty enough to play peek-a-boo underneath your clothes.

 I also snagged some sexier pieces like the Eliza Satin and Lace set in red and the super fun Kate Curve it Up Full Coverage set in purple polka dots (below).  If you looking to have fun dressing your lady humps or just need to update your lingerie drawer be sure to check them out loves.

Beauty::Fashion Fair Cosmetics Review

Hey dolls, today I'm coming to you with a makeup review. I usually keep these on my YouTube Channel but this line is just too good NOT to share with you loves here. I also plan on doing more reviews here on the blog. So many wonderful products out there now and I have been trying a ton .

So on to Fashion Fair's Spring 2014. I was sent this line a couple months ago to try and I have been playing around creating different looks and loving it ever since. I remember Fashion Fair being in my grandmother's collection back in the day and I just loved playing in her lipstick. Well let me tell you, I understand why my granny loved it so much! Aside from the sleek metallic brown packaging and lux look, the products are equally as luxurious. Fashion Fair has made some changes and updates dolls and it surely isn't 'your grandma's makeup line' anymore. Found at department stores like Macy's, Dillard's, Belk's and Lor & Taylor so be sure to check them out next time your there.
Colors available from left to right
Ocean.......Livid.......Tahiti........Pure Gold.........Indigo........Sedona

These eyeshadows colors are super pigmented and easy to work with. Little to no fall out and super blend able on the eyes. Fashion Fair does a great job at catering to us brown skin ladies so these shades are super complimentary to my skin tone. Just take a look at the swatches below, that is with one swipe of the product with a flash. I also show you the colors in natural light with no flash in the next photo.

Swatches outdoors without flash
Can we please discuss these super creamy, long wearing, and gorgeous lippies?! They have 6 shades total and I have tried out 5 and I must say I am super happy with them. These nude shades in Lace and Femme have been a staple all Spring/Summer. They are simply the perfect shade of nude for black woman. Some nudes can be too light looking harsh or ashy but these shades have a perfect pinky brown undertone. They go on super smooth and blend well with other shades. With a creamy finish you can wear these colors with any makeup look I promise!

Lace......Femme

Now for the red shades. My favorite is Catfight (middle color) which is a perfect apple red, cream finish with a bit of gloss is just the ultimate red with a slight orange undertone to have in your collection. Not drying and super easy to work with. The other two are Rage which is a deeper red with pink or fuchsia undertones and a bit of shimmer and Seduction with a little more maroon undertones. Do you dolls see the range they are serving you with these beautiful colors. They made sure to include colors that would be perfect on all darker skin tones. I love these colors and feel so fiery and sassy when I wear them. I only wish they had included a pinky pink I feel that would have been perfect for Spring/Summer as well.
::The Reds::
Rage.....Cat Fight.....Seduction

Here are just a few of my fav colors and the Bold Lash Mascara. This mascara is super black and long lasting. I didn't have any issues with flaking or running throughout the day so I'm happy with it.
