New Year, New Beginnings...

Hello Loves,

Happy New Year's Eve! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and prepared to have an amazing New Year. 2013 has been very trying for me with the lost of my grandmother at the beginning of the year and other life issues but I'm pumped for 2014 and ready to have an amazing year.

I have decided to not do normal NY resolutions but instead to set small goals for myself and live everyday knowing just how blessed I truly am. I think it can be easy to forget that and get lost in the mix when you are alway striving for bigger and better. I consider myself a very hardworking, driven person so I can easily lose sight of whats in front of me when I'm so focused on the future.

The New Year brings New Beginnings and I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store for me, I'm sure it will be amazing! I'm wishing you dolls a very prosperous and healthy Happy New Year dolls!

In My White Tee

Hey dolls, Happy Monday! Hope your having a fabulous December and all set for Christmas. I love this time of year being around family and great food. I also like to take this time to reflect on the pass year. 2013 has been a very trying year for me but nonetheless I am still blessed and grateful to be here. I will go into that more in a later post but for now be sure to reflect on this year and reflect on your growth.
In the style department however, I have been less than inspired. I have NO motivation to get dressed and look cute these days, mostly because I work from home now and am in comfy PJ's all day  and because of my ridiculous weight gain and the fact I don't fit ANYTHING in my closet these days. Anywho, the weather was gorgeous this weekend, I think it reach about 70 degrees. I took the opportunity to take some pics but only had the energy to throw on a white muscle tee and jeans. I started the day in a T-shirt and open toe sandals and ended up in sneaker wedges and beanies. A white tee is so versatile and easy to style and transition with different pieces.

First Snowfall

We got snow!!! I'm actually surprised at how excited I was for it to snow. Something about the first snowfall that always puts me in the most festive mood! It was so pretty I decided to run out with my buddy Jon of JeanMarc Photography and take a few pics. It was as the sun was going down and the snow was falling beautifully.

I snagged this tartan midi skirt while thrifting a while back and although I fully plan on getting it shortened to a mini I wanted to wear it as a midi just once. I wore super high boots to give me some height and a solid cropped sweatshirt with some texture to give the looks some contrast. A bold red Ruby Woo lip and fuzy knit hat and there ya have it. I feel this look is a mix between glam, rocker chick does the Riverdance....hmmmm, yeah that'll work. LOL

Hope you enjoy dolls ;-)

Plaid Skirt: Pendelton, Thrifted
Cropped Sweatshirt: ASOS

The Perfect Holiday Sweater

Hey loves, today I'm coming to you with my version of the Holiday sweater. I have never been a fan of those hideous holiday sweaters with a ugly print or animal or god awful pattern. I'm more of a glitz and glamour type of gal during the holidays. This sweatshirt from ASOS is absolutely perfect. I've been LOVING black here lately and the mix of sequins, suede, beads and glitter had me SOLD. I styled it with heavy gold jewelry and all black everything else. Topped with a plum lip and this look is easily a FAV, I wore this look for turkey day, adding tights, and got tons of compliments.
 The FIT:
Sweatshirt/Necklace: ASOS
Skirt/Bag: Zara (old)
Booties: JustFab
Watch: Fossil
Bracelets: Twisted Silver, Forever 21
Lippie: Mac Rebel

HUGE thank you to my new friend and photography tutor Jon of JeanMarc photo! You dolls can check him out HERE, he does great work!

Winter Wardrobe Essential: The Oversized Puffer Parka

When living in a place that plays NO games when the winter months roll around, make sure you have the proper equipment. For this Jersey gal it's a big puffer jacket. Something that covers your butt and your legs if possible and is super toasty and warm and let's not forget the luxe fur hood. I suggest you go for a down insulated number to be on the safe side. I found this L.L. Bean beauty in the back of my moms closet down in Kentucky. I had no trouble convincing her this coat needed a new home with me on the East Coast where the winters can be brutal. I call this look lumberjack chic. This was the day after Thanksgiving and I just wanted to be comfy in a flannel and leggings. Threw on a pair of black booties and toasty coat and was out the door.
The FIT:
Plaid Button-Up: Zara, cute one HERE
Leggings: American Apparel, cute pair on sale HERE
