HOW TO: DIY Makeup Remover Wipes

Hey loves, today I wanted to share with you a quick, simple, inexpensive, DIY makeup remover recipe. So I don't know about you but as much as I play in makeup I go through makeup wipes like crazy. Especially during my Halloween tutorials they went far too fast. I came across a recipe for homemade baby wipes and immediately thought they would be perfect for makeup wipes and wah-lah I found a recipe. So here I am sharing it with you dolls. It is super simple and you might even have all these ingredients available in your home right now!

First thing first....YOU WILL NEED:
 DIY MAKEUP REMOVER WIPES

  • 1 roll of heavy duty paper towels cut in thirds
  • No TEARS baby shampoo, I used lavender for the smell
  • Oil of choice, Coconut, jojoba, olive oil are all fine
  • 1 bottle of distilled or filtered water
For my roll of paper towels I mixed 1 cup of water, 4 tablespoons of baby shampoo and 2 teaspoons of coconut oil. Mix that together until blended. Place paper towels in air tight container and pour mixture directly on the paper towels and let sit for 10 mins to soak all the way through. Make sure the entire roll is coated. Last step is to remove the cardboard roll and pull the wipes from the middle one by one. Easy peezy and your face and pockets will thank you!

I plan on using these for one week straight and see how I like them compared to my everyday wipes. If they work how I suspect they will, no more store bought wipes for me!!

Hope you dolls enjoy this post and if you would like more DIY beauty tips and recipes let me know. I have the perfect DIY lip scrub you dolls will love to combat those winter lips coming soon!

Family Dollar Fabulous Event Recap

Hey dolls, today I'm coming to you with a long overdue event recap. If you follow me on Instagram (@NajaDiamond) then you might have seen me posting like crazy while in NYC for the 2nd Annual Family Dollar Fabulous event! It was truly an honor and privileged to be in the company of such amazing women and Family Dollar threw a first class event. As a VIP Vlogger at the event I had the pleasure of meeting with some of my favorite brands and get a sneak peek of the goodies coming to Family Dollar soon.
I had a blast at the Creme of Nature booth. They really took care of us with healthy fruit smoothies, henna tattoos and amazing goodies from their Argan Oil line.
The lovely ladies of Aunt Jackie's were a pleasure to chat with all about my natural hair, I can't wait to dig into these curl friendly products.
Meeting Tracy Balan and fellow fierce military maven was certainly a highlight at the African Pride booth. She is former Army and we got to chat about the struggles my military sisters have with their hair and how African Pride is great to combat them. So lovely meeting this doll!!
Just some of the goodies I scored from the LA Colors booth, look out for a giveaway soon dolls! I have to share with you the super simple, budget friendly looks my boo and MUA Cynde Watson created for them.
With this beauty queen Helen Troncoso, catch her in the November issue of Ebony Magazine today looking all kinds of gorgeous.
Just a few of the Dark & Lovely products I went home with, I can't wait to share with you dolls an upcoming project I have with the brand. It's going to be amazing so stay tuned!

The ladies
Alissa from Stylish Curves was there, LOVE this chick, so fun, down to earth and let's not forget FAB!
Such a pleasure meeting Johnny Wright, Michelle Obama's hairstylist, his smile is infectious and has such a beautiful spirit. Loved him.
Ursula Stephen was in the house chatting about all things Motions and can I just say she is THE most down to earth chick ever. I loved chatting with her about my time in the military and how I started my blog. It was like catching up with an old friend. LOVE HER!!
