Layer it Up

It's Friday!! Ending this week on a high note dolls after actually sticking to my posting schedule!! *insert squeal here* Not sure why consistency is one of my biggest weakness but I'm working on it. Seriously making an effort to do better in all aspects of life. Pray for me ya'll as I need it.

Now on to this look. I found this peach shirt dress that I just loved on the website then got it home and couldn't figure out how to work it. It was a little too sheer to wear as a dress so I added a black mini underneath. Then I didn't like the shape it gave me so I belted it. I soon didn't like the brown clutch with my shoes so I changed it. And finally, I felt it just looked a lil boring and needed something else so I added the vest. There ya go. Done. I like it, now I'm out the door.

Sometimes in fashion we have to experiment like that to achieve the look we want. Sometimes it's the look we didn't know we wanted but that's the fun part of mixing and matching. In the end, layering is always a good idea as long as it's cohesive. It has to flow and make sense. Play around with difference layers, shapes, textures in your wardrobe and see what you come up with this weekend.

Have a great one loves and as always thanks so much for stopping by!

The Little Grey Dress

Nothing like a great jersey dress to add to your minimal wardrobe. You dolls know I've been on this minimal kick lately and this dress was perfection when I spotted it. Cool. Comfy. yet Sexy. Also, grey is the new black this season....I'm sure you dolls knew that but if you didn't a little grey dress will soon be a MUST-HAVE in your closet just like the little black dress and little white dress for summer.

I love the back of this dress it is sooo gorgeous and flattering drawing attention to the small of my back. It can easily be the perfect sexy date night dress or work dress when you throw a blazer or vest over it.

Heels, booties, tight, a bold lip.....WHATEVER! This dress looks amazing styled anyway you like. For this look I went with a edgy statement necklace, ankle booties and a deep burgundy lip and I LOVE this look. Easily throw a leather jacket over the shoulder on your way out the door.

How would you style the 'Little Grey Dress' this Fall loves? Let me know in the comments below!

My Skincare Routine & Tips for Cashmere Skin

If your like me at all your skin has taken a bit of a beaten this summer with all the sun and sweat and in need of some TLC. I spent a lot more time poolside than I usually do and in makeup this summer and I can tell my skin has had enough! With a big event coming up this weekend I will be getting my skin back in shape. Here are a few of my tips for smooth like Cashmere Skin.

All these products can be found at Ulta and is a personal favorite with the exception of the cucumber gel mask which I'm dying to try! Like how refreshing does cucumber and gel sound?? It is an extreme detoxifying hydrator with is exactly what we need to renew and refresh our tired skin.

1. Cleanse
The first step of my 'Cashmere Skin' routine is cleansing. I personally love the purity line by Philosophy. I snagged the entire set last Christmas and have been obsessed ever since and still have a ton left. I take a quarter size amount of the cleanser on my Clarisonic Mia 2 brush and deep clean my skin. This brush is THE best at going deep in the pores and pulling out all the impurities normal face washing doesn't get. It's an investment at about $150 bucks but well worth it in my opinion.

2. Exfoliate
Not gonna lie this has got to be my favorite step. Why? I just love to feel the difference in my skin once I remove all the dead skin I never knew was there. Some days I take the exfoliating skin wash and give my skin a gentle massage. It has tiny beads in it that gently scrub the skin in a hurry. Other days I will skin the Clarisonic and use the microdelivery peel. This stuff is seriously GOLD for my skin. It's a 2 step process with a paste and activating liquid you use together. This stuff is like a microdermabrasion treatment in a jar. The paste contains tiny micro crystals that removes every bit of dead skin leaving your face smooth as a baby's bottom. NO LIE! It can be a bit harsh if you use it with the Clarisonic so I only use one or the other so I don't over irritate my skin.

3. Hydrate/Moisturize
Now that you have stripped your skin clean you need to bring back some of that moisture. Here is where I would apply the cooling cucumber mask to the skin which your skin will surely thank you for after the scrubbing. Rinse and apply either the Hope in a Jar moisturizer from the Philosophy kit which is really good for the skin but I don't live for the smell. I usually just skip straight to my Josie Maran Argan Oil and massage it into the skin. Now I have oily skin so I was a little  nervous about adding oil to my skin but it has great benefits and even helps reduce my natural oils a bit. It absorbs into my freshly cleaned skin beautifully leaving me nice and hydrated. I usually do this at night and wake up with glowing skin.

4. Spot Treat
For those pesky zits that just like to be stubborn kill them with this Mario Badescu drying lotion. This stuff literally will make your zit disappear in a night or two. Apply it with a q-tip before bed and wake up spot free....or something like that. Lol

5. Highlight & Contour
To give your skin that gorgeous glow I suggest a highlighter. Becca Cosmetics makes some amazing highlighters with their latest one from Jacyln Hill in Champagne Pop that is on my 'Want Right NOW' list. Contouring adds dimension to the face while slimming it out if necessary and highlighting brings forward the features you want to accentuate.

I hope you dolls enjoy my tips and find them useful when achieving cashmere like skin.

Navy & Green

Happy Monday loves, hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Trying out a new combo for me today with Navy & Green. Very neutral and almost earthy....not usually my go-to but I wanted to experiment. Grounding these two colors with a cognac only seemed right. I like it. It works. In the future I might pair it with a green pencil skirt to give the look a lil more shape but for today it works. With Fall right around the corner this look is a perfect transition. Pair it with a burgundy lip if you like and you will be right in line with the color wheel. Burgundy, green and navy are all rich Fall colors that pair very nicely together.

Hope you have a great week dolls and thanks so much for stopping by!

Black or White

If I could make my entire wardrobe Black & White I would be a happy camper. No lie. I am totally obsessed with simple, minimal, chic looks. I'm talking barely there jewelry, clean silhouettes that flatter the body and make you feel amazing! This look is all those things rolled into one and I could be more confident in it.

Scandalous

Happy Monday loves, hope your weekend was fabulous. Today I'm calling this post Scandalous because that's the name of my lippie. Scandalous by IMAN cosmetics is the most gorgeous RED lippie. I recently did a whole lookbook of my favs from IMAN HERE. Check it out when you get a chance dolls and don't forget to subscribe to my channel.

Clearly that's the focus here right....the lippie....hmmm yeah ok...lol ;-) I know I'm not the only one guilty of playing dress up and testing the lighting in their new apartment on a random Sunday afternoon....right?! I snagged this lace maxi number from Forever 21 a few weeks back with plans of using it as a pool cover up or a night out on the town. I have yet to have a place to wear this number. I don't know about you but that's one of the most frustrating things to me, to let beautiful clothes sit around waiting for the perfect moment to rock them. Well this is my equivalent to wearing a ball gown to the grocery store. I'm doing THE most on this Monday morning because I feel like it and thought these pics came out pretty so I decided to share.

This maxi is very Kim K inspired and I'm obsessed with it. I didn't completely style it in these pics as I would probably belt it with this gorgeous gold belt HERE and rock higher heels like these and top it off with a cool leather jacket. What do you dolls do with the beautiful clothes collecting dust in the back of your closet? I encourage you to wear them 'Just Because'. You can wait forever for the 'perfect' moment but what's more perfect than NOW. Get dressed up, get gorgeous and strut your stuff boo! Have a lovely week loves and as always thanks for stopping by.
