Staying Simple and Cozy in Fair Isle

The FIT:
Sweater: GAP (similar HERE) | Leggings: Marshalls (cute pair HERE); Boots: Alexander Wang; Bag: Zara; Lippie: Stila 'Beso'

Hi dolls, Happy Friday! As this week comes to a close I'm keeping with my new 'Keep It Simple' style moto. I actually like it so much I think I'm going to take it a step further and put together a modified capsule wardrobe for the month of February. 28 pieces in 28 days. Hmmmm that's a thought, you dolls think I can do it? Could you do it? Pair down your wardrobe to just 28 pieces and wear only those pieces? I'm going to hit my closet this weekend and see what I come up with. Fingers crossed, wish me luck!

Have a great weekend dolls, chat soon!

Happy Friday loves!! Hope you had a fantastic week. I'm ready to get this weekend started and relax.

This look I'm keeping things pretty simple with a peach (looks tan in photos) sweater dress, black pencil skirt, my FAVORITE camel coat and black booties. Topped off this look with some simple jewelry from Rocksbox.com (use code NAJAXOXO to get your first month FREE).

As the New Year approached, I challenged myself to one thing in the style department.....Wear What You Have Naja. I found this lovely blog called www.un-fancy.com where she talks about a capsule wardrobe challenge. In this challenge she pairs down her seasonal wardrobe to just 37 pieces and wears them the entire season (3 months). I thought to myself it was a GREAT concept. Not only is she saving money by nothing buying anything new for 3 months but she is challenging herself to style what she has.

So, determined to mimic her efforts, I set out to search and destroy donate all that I don't use, don't fit, don't want in my closet. I donated quite a few stuff and will be having a closet sale for a few other items so stay tuned for that. I was left with far more than 37 items but much, much less than what I had. I am pleased with my new more edited wardrobe and will ONLY be wearing these pieces in the season to come.I will be sharing my key go-to pieces in a later post.  I was also able to pin point exactly what is missing from my wardrobe so I will be shopping a very targeted list when this challenge is over for me. I encourage you to join me on my 'modified' Capsule Collection for the next 2 months. Spring will be a whole new wardrobe and challenge! I'm determined to fulfill my closet dreams this year of having a perfectly curated collection of tailored, timeless, 'forever' wardrobe that matches my style perfectly. *insert side eye* Whatever, it sounds good, right?! Lol, basically I just want to always walk in my closet and have something to make me look amazing for any given occasion. Boom. Simple. Keep it Simple!

Winter Time Chic: Tweed & The Burgundy Trench

The Fit:
Sweater: GAP | Skirt: Vintage (gifted from Mom's closet) | Heels: Shoedazzle | Leather Trench: Vintage (also from Mom, nice coat HERE) | Lippie: Stila stay all day lip gloss in Merlot Vinyl

Hi loves, Happy Wednesday!

I hope your day is off to a great start! I must say, Winter is steadily becoming my favorite season to dress for.

Perhaps it's the endless opportunities for layers or the versatility of styling options. I can stand the cold a lot better than I can the heat. You can always put more clothes on in the wintertime to get comfortable but you can only take so much off in the summertime to get comfortable. And with my expanding outerwear collection it makes it that much more fun! Shoes continue to be a problem for me as most of my collection consists of heels, not so suitable for snow and ice so I'm on the hunt for dope snow shoes. I have a cute pair on the way but I need an all-weather boot as well as cute rain boot. Any suggestions leave them below please!

Happy New Year! Camel Coat Confessions

The FIT:
Top: LOFT | Jeans: Nordstrom (similar) | Coat: LL Bean, Thrifted | Heels: Shoedazzle | Bag: Zara

Happy New Year my loves!! My apologies for this being my first post of 2015. I have been settling into the New Year and I must say it's off  to a great start. For starters I snagged this gorgeous camel coat at my local thrift store for only 24.99. It's a gorgeous, almost new LL Bean beauty that gives me that perfectly oversized look I was going for. I might get it tailored in the future but for now I'm loving the effortless, classic vibe of the whole look. Be prepared to see this piece a lot this winter.
Hope your year is off to a fabulous start dolls. Love and appreciate you as always!
